Learning

"There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work and learning from failure"
- Colin Powell

This quote says it all when it comes to farming! My favorite sayings on the farm is - Be Prepared!  Being prepared always increases your probability of success and thus reduces the probability for failure.  This is not to say failures don't occur but those failures turn into hard lessons learned which allows us to prepare better for the next time.  For me, being prepared is about giving my farm the best opportunity to succeed while managing our stress.  I love stories that portray farming as this idyllic lifestyle but they don't really prepare you for the hard work needed and the hard lessons that must be learned to get to an idyllic lifestyle.  This is why we decided to get into teaching and mentoring.  We will give you the tools needed to be prepared so that you can enjoy and be proud of your farm adventures.
